History
Ken Carson, born Kenyatta Lee Bettis Frazier Jr. on April 11, 2000, is an American rapper and record producer from Atlanta, Georgia. He got his start in the local underground scene, joining producer collective 808 Mafia in 2015 and posting music on SoundCloud from 2017. Fellow Atlanta rapper Playboi Carti discovered him and signed him to his label Opium in 2019, making Carson the imprint's first-ever signee, ahead of labelmates Destroy Lonely and Homixide Gang. His sound blends aggressive, electronic-leaning "rage" production with a melodic, high-energy flow that critics have compared to Carti's Whole Lotta Red and to Lil Uzi Vert. After the mixtape Teen X (2020) and debut album Project X (2021), his profile grew with X (2022) and A Great Chaos (2023), whose deluxe edition produced his first Billboard Hot 100 single, "Overseas." His fourth album, More Chaos, released on his own 25th birthday in April 2025, became his first number-one album on the Billboard 200.
