History
Destroy Lonely, born Bobby Wardell Sandimanie III on July 30, 2001, in Atlanta, Georgia, is an American rapper, singer, and producer known for erratic, high-speed flows over atmospheric, bass-heavy trap beats. He is the son of rapper I-20, a longtime collaborator of Ludacris and Disturbing tha Peace, and grew up touring with his father before teaching himself audio production and uploading music to SoundCloud starting in 2015. His 2019 single "Bane" became a surprise viral hit roughly two years after its release, helping him sign with Playboi Carti's Opium imprint (via Interscope Records) in early 2021, where he frequently works with labelmates Ken Carson and Homixide Gang. His 2022 mixtape No Stylist gave him his first Billboard 200 entry, and his 2023 debut album If Looks Could Kill reached number 18 on the chart, followed by the top-ten 2024 album Love Lasts Forever, with guest features from PinkPantheress and Quavo. Rolling Stone has noted his "dynamic yet blaring" production style and his dark, name-brand-driven fashion aesthetic, reflected in aliases like Fashion Demon.
