History
T-Fest is the stage name of Kirill Nezboretsky, a Ukrainian rapper and songwriter born May 8, 1997, in Chernivtsi. He first tried trap with the 2014 single "Pravda," then vanished for two years before relaunching his sound in January 2016 with "Perezagruzka" ("Reload"), debuting the French braids that became his visual signature. His debut album "0372" — named after Chernivtsi's phone code — followed a viral hit, "Odno ya znal / Vydokh," which passed 50 million YouTube views. A 2017 collaboration with Kazakh producer-rapper Scriptonite on "Lambada" led Scriptonite to broker T-Fest's signing to the Moscow label Gazgolder, home of rapper Basta. Over the next years T-Fest released "Molodost '97" (2017), "Inostranets" (2018), "Tsveti libo pogibni" (2019) and "Viydi i zaydi normalno" (2020), performing on the Russian TV show "Evening Urgant." After Russia's 2022 invasion of Ukraine he publicly affirmed his Ukrainian identity, cut ties with Gazgolder, and cancelled Russian shows, continuing to release music, including the 2023 album "Geek," on the Ukrainian label Lemniskata.
