History
Guf (born Alexey Sergeyevich Dolmatov, September 23, 1979, Moscow) is a Russian rapper active since the late 1990s. He wrote his first track, "Chinese Wall," at age 19 in 1998, then entered Moscow's hip-hop scene in 2000 as part of the short-lived duo Rolexx, whose name he kept as a stage alias until 2005. In 2004 he co-founded the group Centr with Nikolai Princip, releasing albums such as "Kacheli" (2007) and "Efir v Norme" (2008); Centr's hip-hop win at the 2008 MTV Russia Music Awards came alongside fellow Moscow rapper Basta. Guf's solo catalog includes "Gorod Dorog" (2007), "Doma" (2009), "Sam i..." (2012) and "Eshchyo" (2015), plus the joint albums "Basta/Guf" (2010) and "GuSli" (2017, with former Centr member Slim). In 2018 he won a widely watched Versus Battle rap battle against former bandmate Ptakha. Detailed biographical information beyond his discography and his ZM Nation label (founded 2009) is scarce online.
