History
Andro, born Ioann Zhani Kuznetsov on 19 January 2001 in Kyiv, is a Ukrainian-born Russian singer and rapper from a Romani family. He first drew attention in 2014, at just 13, when he wrote and performed the vocal hook for "Санта Лючия" by the group Quest Pistols, a song that became widely known even among listeners who don't follow current music. He released his debut single, "Удиви меня," in 2016, and built his solo career on emotionally sung, melody-driven tracks that blend pop with rap-adjacent delivery. In 2019 he released a run of hits — "Замело," "Инопланетянин" (which spent 12 months on Shazam's top charts, peaking at No. 9), "Болен твоей улыбкой," and "Моя душа" — before releasing his debut album, "MoonFlame," in September 2019, which reached the top 10 of Apple Music's Russian charts. Critic Alexei Mazhaev of InterMedia praised the album's musicality and taste while noting a lack of stylistic variety.
