History
Rauf & Faik are a Russian duo formed by twin brothers Rauf and Faik Mirzaev, born July 7, 1999, in Izhevsk, Russia, to a family of ethnic Azerbaijani origin (they also spent parts of their childhood in Azerbaijan). They trace their musical inclination to their maternal grandfather, an opera singer and director at an opera house in Baku, and started piano lessons at age four before switching to vocals as children. Active since 2015, they built an early following on YouTube with home-shot music videos, honing their stage presence performing at weddings and family celebrations in Izhevsk. Their sound blends R&B, emo-rap, and trap, sung in both Russian and English, and they work without an outside producer. Their breakthrough came with the Russian-language single "Детство" ("Childhood", 2018), which topped Russian charts, followed by the debut album "I Love You". They are signed to Atlantic Records Russia under license from Warner Music Group.
