History

Eldzhey (real name Alexey Konstantinovich Uzenyuk) is a Russian rapper and singer-songwriter born July 9, 1994, in Novosibirsk. He began writing music in the early 2010s and released his early records independently before breaking through in 2016 with the album "Sayonara Boy," which reached number two on the Russian Apple Music and iTunes charts. His biggest hit followed in 2017: "Rozovoye vino" ("The Pink Wine"), a collaboration with Feduk, topped Russian streaming charts, drew more than 200 million plays on VKontakte, and became one of the country's defining pop-rap anthems, also charting in Poland and across the former Soviet Union. That same year he fronted Yves Saint Laurent's La Nuit De L'Homme fragrance campaign, and in 2018 he voiced the character Spamley in the Russian dub of Disney's "Ralph Breaks the Internet." In 2020 he teamed up with Morgenshtern on "Cadillac," produced by Slava Marlow. Musically he blends melodic hip-hop with pop hooks; he was also married to blogger and TV host Nastya Ivleeva from 2019 to 2021.
