History
May Wave$ (born Daniil Meylikhov, January 31, 1997) is a Russian rapper and singer from Rostov-on-Don, working across hip-hop, cloud rap, and R&B. He started writing lyrics as a child and released his first track in 2015; a chance meeting with fellow Rostov artist Porchy led to his songs reaching Oxxxymiron, and in 2018 he joined Oxxxymiron's agency and label Booking Machine as one of its youngest signed artists. Alongside local rappers O.T. and AmeriQa he co-founded the Rostov collective MLK+, releasing the mixtape "Volny" and the joint album "SLIVKI" (2019). His solo catalogue includes the "Ukhod" EP series, ending with "Ukhod 3: Spasenie" (2019), plus mixtapes like "Surfin'" with AmeriQa. He is sometimes nicknamed the "Russian Post Malone" for his melodic, genre-blending style, and appeared on Oxxxymiron's all-star Booking Machine posse cut "Konstrukt" alongside Markul, Jeembo, and other label artists.
