History
Rosie Lowe is an English singer, songwriter and producer, born 24 December 1989 in Exeter, Devon, and raised in a wooden house her father built with no television. She studied popular music at Goldsmiths, University of London, teaching herself production software there before signing to Domino publishing and releasing the EP "Right Thing" in 2013, co-produced with Dave Okumu and Kwes. Moving to Paul Epworth's Wolf Tone/Polydor, she built a sound in electronic soul, R&B and alternative electronica, drawing comparisons to James Blake and The xx. Her 2016 debut album Control included "Worry 'Bout Us," "Woman" (used in the 2017 film The Last Word) and "So Human" featuring Little Simz. A second album, YU, followed in 2019. In 2021 she released Son, a collaborative album with Duval Timothy paired with a children's book, and in 2024 the self-produced Lover, Other. Her collaborators over the years have also included Jay Electronica.
