History

Logistics sits where soulful liquid drum and bass meets the dancefloor: bright melodies and vocal hooks, but drums and basslines built to move a crowd rather than drift. Behind the project is Matt Gresham from Cambridge, who turned to music full time around 2004. Music runs in the family: his brother Dan records as Nu:Tone, and the two have worked together as Nu:Logic. Matt's own albums have come out on Hospital Records. His debut, Now More Than Ever, won BBC 1Xtra's Xtra Bass award in 2007. Reality Checkpoint followed in 2008, named after a Cambridge landmark, and Crash Bang Wallop in 2009, with a run of albums continuing well into the following decade. Critics have credited him with pulling liquid out of its politer corners and giving it more energy. A listener hears him in the upbeat, sunlit melodies, tight rolling breaks and a playful streak in the sound design.
