DJ Fresh
2010s chart pop drum and bass from the 2010s: supersaw chord drop, punchy compressed kick, pop piano stabs, euphoric and anthemic in feel. A name-free Suno recipe that reproduces the signature sound without tripping the artist-name filter.

History
DJ Fresh spent the first part of his career inside drum and bass at its most technical, as part of the Bad Company UK camp, where the appeal was engineering: bass designed rather than played, breaks edited to the frame, arrangements that worked on a large rig and nowhere else. He later co-founded the Breakbeat Kaos label, which gave the genre a commercial front door. Louder is where the two halves met, a 174 beat per minute track with a pop vocal and a build that behaves like a chart record, and it became the first drum and bass single to reach number one in the UK. Hot Right Now repeated the trick with a different singer and confirmed it was not an accident. Gold Dust is the leaner one, a chopped ragga vocal over a break with almost nothing else in the mix, and it stayed a club staple through several remix cycles. The criticism from the underground was predictable. The arrangements, though, are unusually disciplined for music this bright.
