History

Justice is a French electronic music duo formed in Paris in 2003, made up of Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay. The pair first drew attention with a 2003 remix of Simian's "Never Be Alone," made for a Paris college radio remix contest; the track, later released as "We Are Your Friends," won Best Video at the 2006 MTV Europe Music Awards and led to a deal with Ed Banger Records. Justice's sound blends electro house and French house with heavy rock and disco influences, often built around a distinctive "cross" logo used across their artwork and stage design. Their 2007 debut album, Cross, included the single "D.A.N.C.E." and earned a Grammy nomination for Best Electronic/Dance Album. In 2009 the duo won a Grammy for Best Remixed Recording for their rework of MGMT's "Electric Feel." Later albums include Audio, Video, Disco (2011), Woman (2016), and Hyperdrama (2024), whose single "Neverender," featuring Tame Impala, won a Grammy for Best Electronic/Dance Recording.
