History

Danger is the stage name of Franck Rivoire, an electronic musician from Lyon, France, active since 2007. As a kid he learned piano and saxophone, played in jazz and punk bands, and taught himself chiptune composition on old Amiga and Atari computers, later training as a graphic designer. He uploaded early electro-influenced tracks to MySpace under the name Danger and signed to the label Ekler'o'shock in 2007, releasing a string of EPs (09/14 2007, 09/16 2007, 09/17 2007) whose track titles mark the exact time each was finished, with releases numbered out of chronological order as a nod to Star Wars. His sound spans electro house, French house, trip hop and synthwave. On stage he wears a black mask inspired by Daft Punk and Final Fantasy's Black Mage, separating his "geeky" offstage self from his performing persona. He has remixed Kanye West and Estelle's "American Boy," the Black Eyed Peas' "Imma Be" and La Roux, released the albums Taiko (2017) and Origins (2019), scored the video games Furi, Haven and Windblown, and composed the theme for the 2018 League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational.
