History
Afrojack is the stage name of Nick van de Wall, a Dutch DJ and record producer born in 1987 in Spijkenisse, Netherlands. He started producing tracks from home as a child and had already founded his own label, Wall Recordings, by 2007, years before wider recognition arrived. His 2010 single "Take Over Control," featuring Eva Simons, became an international breakthrough and helped define the electro house sound of that era, built on big, driving room-filling drops. He has regularly placed among the top ten in DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs poll and released his debut album, Forget the World, in 2014. In 2011 he won a Grammy Award for Best Remixed Recording for his rework of Madonna's "Revolver," and his co-production on Chris Brown's "Look at Me Now" earned two further Grammy nominations. Over the years he has worked with artists including David Guetta, Pitbull, Steve Aoki, and Diplo, and serves as CEO of LDH Europe.
