History
Don Diablo (born Don Pepijn Schipper, 27 February 1980, in Coevorden, Netherlands) is a Dutch DJ, producer and songwriter widely credited as a pioneer of the future house sound. He started early, signing his first record deal at 15 and cutting his teeth on gabber and hardcore before moving into hard house and trance around 2000. His 2008 album "Life Is a Festival" marked a turning point, blending house with hip-hop. After struggling for label attention, he built his following by producing remixes and reaching out directly to music blogs, a strategy that made him the most-blogged artist on Hype Machine, ahead of Lady Gaga, a genuinely unusual way for a DJ to break through. He later scored the theme for the video game Batman: Arkham Origins, teamed up with Tiesto on "Chemicals" (2015), and placed in DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs list multiple times, reaching number 6 in 2020. Through his label HEXAGON he has released the albums "Future" (2018) and "Forever" (2021), with collaborators ranging from Dua Lipa and Ed Sheeran to Gucci Mane and Imanbek.
