Style recipe for Suno v5
Dutch House
Dutch house from the 2010s: squeaky lead, punchy kick, tribal drums, playful and aggressive in feel. A name-free Suno recipe that reproduces the signature sound without tripping the artist-name filter.
History
Dutch house, also called dirty Dutch, goes back to the late 1980s and the early days of the European house movement. Like gabber, its near contemporary, it took a lot from techno, especially hard kick and snare drums, and mixed it with the house styles of the day: acid house, funky house and kraut. Until the late 2000s it lived mostly in underground clubs in the Netherlands even if leading Dutch DJs of the early 2000s such as Tiësto and Armin van Buuren used its elements. In 2008, riding the rise of electro house, a new generation built its own version and called it dirty Dutch: Fedde Le Grand, Afrojack, Hardwell, Chuckie, R3hab and Sidney Samson. By 2009 it had become one of the leading strands of electro house worldwide. The sound is more engineered than it seems: side-chain on the mids and highs, a bass shifted by a beat or two so the kick drags a tail an octave below, heavy reverb up top, and portamento leads from Sylenth1 and Massive that bend until they whine like a dentist's drill, all at 124 to 132 BPM. Moombahton and Melbourne bounce later branched off from it.
