History
After early-'90s turmoil, 24-7 Spyz reunited for 1995's Temporarily Disconnected before releasing Heavy Metal Soul by the Pound in 1996, with guitarist Jimi Hazel also taking over lead vocals as the lineup kept shifting. The band went dormant from 1998 to 2003; Hazel released a solo album, 21stCenturySouthBronxRockStar, in 2002. After reforming, they issued their first album of new material in over a decade, then 2019's The Soundtrack to the Innermost Galaxy, featuring Fishbone drummer Phillip "Fish" Fisher, with only Hazel and bassist Rick Skatore remaining from the original lineup.
