History
Платина (Platina) is the stage name of Robert Plaudis, a Russian-language rapper born April 19, 1995, in Riga, Latvia. He started recording in 2015 under names like Roro and Big Glock before settling on Платина in 2016, and founded the collective РНБ Клуб (RNB Club). His debut album РНБ Клуб (2018) featured guests OG Buda and Lil Krystalll, schoolmates from Riga's School No. 13. He followed it with Сладких снов (2018, with OG Buda), Опиаты круг (2019, ranked among the year's top Russian albums by hip-hop outlet The Flow), and Sosa Muzik (2021), which topped the Apple Music Russia chart and was noted for its Playboi Carti-influenced sound. A self-titled fifth album, Платина, arrived in 2024. He is a frequent collaborator with OG Buda, Lil Krystalll, and Feduk. In April 2024, he made headlines when he was detained during a birthday concert in Tomsk and later deported from Russia for violating entry and labor rules.
