History
Jack Harlow (born Jackman Thomas Harlow, March 13, 1998, Louisville, Kentucky) is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter working in Southern hip-hop and pop rap. Raised on a horse farm near Shelbyville before moving to Louisville, he started rapping at 12 and self-released mixtapes through his teens before signing to Don Cannon and DJ Drama's Generation Now, an Atlantic Records imprint, in 2018. His 2020 single "Whats Poppin" became a mainstream breakthrough, boosted by TikTok and a remix with DaBaby, Tory Lanez, and Lil Wayne; it hit number two on the Billboard Hot 100, went diamond, and earned a Grammy nomination. His debut album That's What They All Say (2020) went double platinum. He later scored two Hot 100 number-one singles as lead artist, "First Class" (2022) and "Lovin on Me" (2023), and a third as a featured guest on Lil Nas X's "Industry Baby." He won Top New Artist at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards and made his acting debut in the 2023 remake of White Men Can't Jump.
