History

Potap and Nastya is a Ukrainian duo formed in Kyiv in 2006 by producer and songwriter Alexei Potapenko (Potap) and vocalist Anastasia Kamenskikh (Nastya). Potapenko was searching for a singer to handle hooks on his tracks and, on a friend's recommendation, brought in Kamenskikh, launching a homegrown R'n'B project that blended pop, rap, electropop, and rock. Their debut single "Ne para" became an international hit, and in 2007 the duo won Russia's "Five Stars" talent contest, earning the right to perform at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics. Albums followed: "Ne para" (2008), "Ne lyubi mne mozgi" (2009, featuring the hit "Chumachechaya vesna"), and "Vsyo puchkom" (2013), whose title track won a Golden Gramophone award in 2014. The duo also picked up Muz-TV and RU.TV prizes and voiced characters in animated films. After 11.5 years together, Potap and Nastya announced a hiatus in October 2017, continuing solo as PTP and NK, before reuniting for TV appearances and, most recently, live shows in 2026.
