History

DJ Falcon, born Stéphane Quême on January 2, 1973, in Paris, is a French DJ, producer, and photographer closely tied to the French touch house scene of the late 1990s. Before making music, he worked in the A&R department at Virgin Records. Through his childhood friend Pedro Winter (later known as Busy P), who managed Daft Punk, Falcon became close with Thomas Bangalter and released his debut EP, Hello My Name Is DJ Falcon, on Bangalter's label Roulé in 1999. He and Bangalter then formed the duo Together, releasing "Together" (2000) and "So Much Love to Give" (2002), the latter reaching No. 71 on the UK singles chart and built around a looping sample of The Real Thing's disco track "Love's Such a Wonderful Thing." In 2013 Falcon co-wrote and co-produced "Contact," the closing track on Daft Punk's Random Access Memories; a NASA recording used in the song references someone called "Bob" — Falcon's own childhood skating nickname. He is the brother of Delphine Quême (Quartet) and, since 2022, records with cousin Alan Braxe as Braxe + Falcon.
