History
Verifiable biography is thin here, so this stays with the records. Cream Soda is a Moscow group that broke through in 2019 with "Plachu na tekhno", a song whose title did half the promotional work by itself. The sound is retro by construction: italo-disco synth lines, gated drums, an arpeggio that never switches off, and vocals set deep in the mix and processed until they read as one more synth layer. "Nikakikh bolshe vecherinok", recorded with Khleb, moved the same palette closer to a straight pop hit. Among Russian acts of the early 2020s they are one of the few you can identify from the arrangement alone, before a voice comes in.
