History
Central Cee, born Oakley Neil Caesar-Su on 4 June 1998 in Ladbroke Grove, London, is a British rapper from Shepherd's Bush who emerged as a leading figure in UK rap. After early years experimenting with auto-tuned hip-hop, he switched to a UK drill sound and broke through in 2020 with the singles "Day in the Life" and "Loading." His debut mixtape Wild West (2021) hit number two on the UK Albums Chart, and his follow-up, 23 (2022), went straight to number one. The single "Doja" (2022) became the most-streamed UK rap song on Spotify at the time, a record later broken by his own "Sprinter" (2023), a collaboration with fellow London rapper Dave that gave him his first UK number-one and held the top spot for ten weeks, the longest run ever for a UK rap song. His 2024 track "Band4Band" with Lil Baby became the highest-charting UK rap single in Billboard Hot 100 history. His debut studio album, Can't Rush Greatness (2025), topped the UK charts and reached the US Billboard 200 top ten, the first UK rap album to do so.
