K-Trap
Uk drill, laid-back storytelling from the 2020s: sliding 808 bass, skippy triplet hats, off-grid snare, swaggering and raw in feel. A name-free Suno recipe that reproduces the signature sound without tripping the artist-name filter.

History
K-Trap is a UK drill and road rap artist from Gipsy Hill in South London, known for a calm, low-key delivery that sits against the sliding 808s and cold piano and string loops of London drill. For the first years of his career he performed in a balaclava, and his face stayed hidden until the video for Big Mood in 2019, a move he described as necessary to reach the next level. He began releasing music seriously in 2017 with the mixtape The Last Whip, then built a steady run of tapes: The Re-Up, No Magic, Street Side Effects in 2020 and Trapo in 2021. The single Warm became a viral hit and went platinum, pulling him from the drill underground into the mainstream. He won the MOBO Award for Best Drill Act. He also made collaborative projects, Joints with Blade Brown and Strength to Strength with Headie One, and in 2024 he released his debut studio album Smile?. His writing leans on the detail of road life rather than shock value, and he is recognised by an unhurried flow that never seems to raise its voice.
