History
Digga D, born Rhys Angelo Emile Herbert on 29 June 2000 in west London's Ladbroke Grove/Mozart Estate area, is a UK drill rapper who co-founded the drill group 1011 (later CGM, Cherish God More) as a teenager in 2015. He built his reputation on a sharp, aggressive flow and became one of UK drill's breakout names by 2017-2018. His career took a singular turn after a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) restricted his lyrics and required him to submit new music to the Metropolitan Police for approval before release, a constraint documented in the BAFTA-winning film Defending Digga D. Despite this, he charted three mixtapes on the UK Albums Chart: Double Tap Diaries (2019), Made in the Pyrex (2020, No. 3), and Noughty by Nature (2022), which hit No. 1 and became the first UK drill mixtape to top the chart. Top-10 singles include "Bringing It Back" with AJ Tracey and "Wasted" featuring ArrDee. In 2023 he became the youngest artist to headline the Royal Albert Hall.
