Arca
Deconstructed reggaeton club from the 2010s: warped dembow percussion, shattered metallic hits, sub-bass detonations, menacing and theatrical in feel. A name-free Suno recipe that reproduces the signature sound without tripping the artist-name filter.

History
Alejandra Ghersi was born in Caracas and has worked between New York and Barcelona, releasing as Arca since the early 2010s. The mixtape &&&&& in 2013 laid out the approach: rhythm treated as something that can buckle mid-bar, synth lines bent until they sound like wet metal, and long stretches with no grid at all. Xen arrived on Mute in 2014 and Mutant in 2015. The self-titled Arca (2017) was the turn, since it put her own singing in front, a high, exposed voice carrying something closer to lament than to club music. KiCk i followed in 2020, with four further Kick volumes released one after another at the end of 2021. Her production work explains how far this reached: she worked on Kanye West's Yeezus in 2013, then on Bjork's Vulnicura and Utopia, and also with FKA twigs. Shattered metre and deconstructed club rhythms became a mainstream texture largely through those records.
