History
Daz Dillinger, born Delmar Drew Arnaud on May 25, 1973, in Long Beach, California, is an American rapper and record producer who became one of the architects of 1990s West Coast gangsta rap and G-funk. He signed to Death Row Records at 19, where Dr. Dre personally taught him production; his early credits include The Chronic (1992) and Snoop Dogg's Doggystyle (1993), and Death Row CEO Suge Knight later said Daz did "pretty much the whole" Doggystyle album. With Kurupt he formed the duo Tha Dogg Pound in 1992, whose platinum debut Dogg Food (1995) and single "What Would You Do" earned a 1996 Grammy nomination. Daz also produced five tracks on Tupac Shakur's All Eyez on Me (1996), including "2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted." His solo debut, Retaliation, Revenge and Get Back (1998), reached the Billboard 200 top ten. After Death Row's roster scattered in the late 1990s, he co-founded D.P.G. Recordz and has since released nearly twenty solo albums. He is a cousin of Snoop Dogg, Brandy, and Ray J.
