Bebe Rexha (born Bleta Rexha, August 30, 1989) is an American singer and songwriter born in Brooklyn, New York, to Albanian parents from North Macedonia. Her first name, Bleta, means "honey bee" in Albanian, the source of her stage name. Before launching a solo career she wrote for other artists, most notably co-writing Eminem and Rihanna's Grammy-winning "The Monster." She began releasing her own music in 2014, working across pop, dance-pop, and country-pop. Her breakthrough came with the G-Eazy collaboration "Me, Myself & I" (2015), followed by hits like "In the Name of Love" and "I Got You." In 2017, "Meant to Be," recorded with Florida Georgia Line, spent 50 consecutive weeks atop Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart, a record for a song led by a female artist. Her debut album, Expectations (2018), earned two Grammy nominations. She scored her biggest global hit with David Guetta on "I'm Good (Blue)" (2022), later included on her 2023 album Bebe, which also featured Snoop Dogg and Dolly Parton.
