Demi Lovato (born August 20, 1992, in Albuquerque, New Mexico) is an American pop singer-songwriter and actor. She got her start as a child actress on "Barney & Friends" alongside Selena Gomez, then broke through in 2008 with Disney Channel's "Camp Rock" and the single "This Is Me," a duet with Joe Jonas. Her debut album, "Don't Forget" (2008), reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200, followed by "Here We Go Again" (2009) and "Unbroken" (2011), which produced the platinum hit "Skyscraper." "Demi" (2013) delivered the top-10 single "Heart Attack," while 2015's "Confident" earned a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album and spawned the hit "Cool for the Summer." "Sorry Not Sorry," from 2017's "Tell Me You Love Me," reached No. 6 on the Hot 100 and marked her sixth consecutive top-five album. Lovato judged "The X Factor USA" in 2012-2013 and has been outspoken about mental health, releasing the 2021 album and documentary "Dancing with the Devil" chronicling her recovery.
