History
KB makes high-energy Christian hip-hop: booming trap drums, chantable hooks and lyrics that treat faith as something to shout about rather than whisper. He is from St. Petersburg, Florida, and spent a decade on Reach Records, where he was part of the 116 Clique alongside Lecrae and Andy Mineo. His first album, Weight & Glory, arrived in 2012, and Tomorrow We Live (2015) sharpened his sound into arena-sized anthems built for crowds. Church Clap, his collaboration with Lecrae, became his best-known track. In 2020 he moved to Essential Sound, part of Sony Music, and released His Glory Alone, named after the HGA movement he leads, with a sequel in 2023. Graves, recorded with worship singer Brandon Lake, shows another side of him, closer to worship music with a rap verse at its centre. The signature stays the same across these records: a forceful, hype-man delivery, call-and-response hooks and trap production carrying direct gospel statements.
