History
Icegergert is the stage name of Georgy Gergert, a Russian rapper born August 24, 2001, in Bratsk, Irkutsk Oblast, who was raised from age six by relatives in Saint Petersburg. He began writing lyrics for rap battles in 2018 and released his debut single "Полукровка" (Polukrovka) in 2021. His sound sits in hip-hop and trap, and he has cited early influences including Russian rappers Basta, Guf and Misha Mavashi. In 2024 he became a resident of the Gazgolder label and released the album Royal Bastards, featuring Basta, Guf and Big Baby Tape. His 2025 EP From Sparta to Padre followed, and the single "Наследство" (Inheritance), with SKY RAE, went viral on TikTok that year; by late 2025 he had roughly 9 million monthly listeners on Yandex Music. He was a Forbes Russia "30 Under 30" nominee in the Music category in 2025 and won a VK Music "Breakthrough of the Year" award. He also holds the rank of Master of Sports in hand-to-hand combat. His 2026 album is titled "Глаз Бога" (Eye of God).
