History
Kizaru is the stage name of Oleg Viktorovich Nechiporenko, a Russian rapper and singer-songwriter born May 21, 1989, in Leningrad (Saint Petersburg). He is the founder of the Haunted Family collective and one of the most recognizable voices to emerge from Russia's trap scene, active since around 2010. His early sound drew on 1990s East Coast hip-hop groups like Boot Camp Clik, Heltah Skeltah, O.G.C., and Black Moon, later shifting toward trap and cloud rap; his stage name comes from a character in the anime One Piece, a nod to his long-standing love of anime. After a 2014 arrest in Saint Petersburg on drug trafficking charges, he relocated to Barcelona, where he still lives, and was later detained by Interpol in Germany in 2021. His discography includes Karmageddon (2019), Born to Trap (2020), the Big Baby Tape collaboration Bandana I (2021), which reportedly drew 3 million VK streams within its first hour, First Day Out (2022), Quazimodo (2024), and Simba (2025). Spotify ranked him Russia's most-streamed artist in 2020.
