History
Exposé formed in Miami in 1984, when DJ and producer Lewis Martineé assembled a trio to record his Latin freestyle tracks, initially released as "X-Posed." The debut single "Point of No Return," sung by original member Alejandra Lorenzo, became a club hit and a defining record of the freestyle genre. In 1986 that lineup left for solo careers, and Martineé rebuilt the group around Jeanette Jurado, Gioia Bruno, and Ann Curless. This trio recorded the 1987 debut album Exposure, driven by "Come Go with Me," a re-recorded "Point of No Return," "Let Me Be the One," and the No. 1 ballad "Seasons Change" (1988) — making Exposé the first act ever to score four Top 10 Billboard Hot 100 hits from a debut album. They went on to become the only girl group since The Supremes to notch seven consecutive Top 10 hits, racking up eight Top 10 singles before disbanding in 1995. Exposure was certified double platinum.
