Beck
90s sample-collage alt-rock from the 1990s: dusty breakbeat loop, bottleneck slide guitar, fuzz bass grind, playful and raw in feel. A name-free Suno recipe that reproduces the signature sound without tripping the artist-name filter.

History
Beck made his name with a song that sounded like a joke and turned out to be a manifesto: Loser stitched a slide guitar loop, a lazy rap and a shrug of a chorus into something nobody else in 1994 was making. What followed proved the collage was the method rather than the gimmick. Odelay, built with the Dust Brothers, ran folk, funk, hip hop production and thrift-store psychedelia through the same machine and won two Grammys. Midnite Vultures pushed the funk and the falsetto to the edge of parody, then Sea Change dropped all of it for slow acoustic songs and orchestration, and the switch was convincing because the voice underneath had always been dry and deadpan. Morning Phase returned to that quieter register and took the Grammy for Album of the Year in 2015. A listener recognises him by the delivery, flat and unhurried, by lyrics that assemble images without explaining them, and by arrangements that are almost always hiding one instrument you did not expect.
