History
Arty is known for melodic, emotional electronic music that sits between trance and progressive house, with big euphoric breakdowns and clean, bright synth leads. The Russian producer first came to wide notice in the trance scene around the turn of the 2010s, releasing on Anjunabeats and working with Armin van Buuren on the collaboration Nehalennia. He also used the alias Alpha 9 for music closer to classic trance. Over the following years his own releases moved toward progressive house and later a more vocal, song-based sound aimed at festival and radio audiences. Glorious, his debut album from 2015, gathered that approach into one record, with Up All Night among its vocal tracks. The production values stayed consistent across the changes: carefully layered chords, wide stereo pads and melodies built to carry a whole crowd. A listener recognises Arty by uplifting chord progressions, polished and warm sound design, and drops that feel more like a release of emotion than a hit of aggression.
