History

Filatov & Karas are a Moscow production duo behind some of the most widely played Russian dance records of the 2010s: warm deep house grooves, clean piano and vocal hooks, and a radio-friendly polish that travelled far beyond club floors. Their breakthrough was a remix of Imany's Don't Be So Shy in 2015, which turned a slow soul ballad into a light, bouncing house track and became a hit across Europe, with hundreds of millions of views on YouTube. They followed it with their own singles, including Tell It to My Heart and Au Au, keeping the same formula of melodic hooks over relaxed four-on-the-floor beats. The duo also worked with Mumiy Troll on Amore More, Goodbye and with Gustaf Noren on Wide Awake, and kept releasing remixes and originals into the 2020s. They have played festivals such as Exit and Sea Dance and clubs including Ministry of Sound.
