History
Chilly was a German Eurodisco and rock act active from 1978 to 1983, put together in Munich by producer, composer, and author Bernt Möhrle for Hansa Records. The line-up featured singers Ute Weber and Brad Howell alongside dancers Werner Suedhoff, Andrea Linz, Sofia Ejango, and Oscar Pearson. Their 1978 debut album, "For Your Love," built its title track around the Yardbirds' 1965 hit of the same name, with Möhrle adding new lyrics and, with arranger Christian Kolonovits, stretching it into an almost 12-minute disco suite that folded in the original song "I Walk Alone." The track spent seven weeks on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart, peaking at number 38 in April 1979, and was later remixed by DJ Hell for the Munich Machine album, re-edited by Dylan Petit for French label D-Classics in 2006, and reworked by Chocolate Puma featuring Colonel Red in 2011. Chilly released five more albums through 1983 — "Come to L.A.," "Showbiz," "Johnny Loves Jenny," "Secret Lies," and "Devils Dance" — before disbanding.
