Style recipe for Suno v5
Hardwave
Hardwave from the 2010s: distorted supersaw, hard kick, trap hats, aggressive and euphoric in feel. A name-free Suno recipe that reproduces the signature sound without tripping the artist-name filter.
History
Hardwave grew out of wave, a bass music and visual art scene that formed in the early 2010s among DIY producers on SoundCloud, Bandcamp, Mixcloud, Reddit and Tumblr, often teenagers with no ties to club culture. Wave set the template: atmospheric melodies, filtered Reese-style bass, trap drums with fast hi-hats, and chopped vocal samples pitched up and down under reverb and delay, usually between 120 and 140 BPM. By 2013 UK producer Klimeks was tagging his SoundCloud tracks as wave, later founding the label Wavemob, while Plastician championed the music on his Rinse FM shows and spread the name with The Wave Pool MMXV mix in December 2015. Kareful released what was reported as the first full-length wave album, Deluge, in early 2016. Then in 2017 the Perth producers Skeler and Ytho began adding elements of trance and hardstyle to win over bigger festival and club crowds, coined the name hardwave and pulled the scene toward it. By then wave was moving from screens to real rooms, with nights in London's Dalston and, in 2022, Seattle's three-day Pantheon festival.
