Style recipe for Suno v5
Reggae Dubstep
Reggae dubstep from the 2010s: wobble bass, half time drums, skank guitar, menacing and hypnotic in feel. A name-free Suno recipe that reproduces the signature sound without tripping the artist-name filter.
History
Reggae dubstep, also called reggaestep, is a fusion that spread online in the early 2010s, mostly through SoundCloud. It borrows drum samples of the kind reggae uses but places them on dubstep's syncopated grid, keeps reggae's habit of accenting the offbeat, and sits at 140 BPM, the usual dubstep tempo. The drops hit the way dubstep drops do, yet their melodies tend to follow reggae patterns, and offbeat rhythms are often layered over dubstep or ragga lines. One of the most popular reggaestep tracks, as of 2013, was Make It Bun Dem by Skrillex: its video passed 500 million views on YouTube, and the track drew more than five million plays on SoundCloud. The Huffington Post treated reggaestep as a genre of its own in a piece about that song. Even so, the genre remains little known, though it was common on SoundCloud in the early 2010s.
