Style recipe for Suno v5
Italo House
Italo house from the 1980s: piano riff, orchestral string stabs, analog bass, nostalgic and euphoric in feel. A name-free Suno recipe that reproduces the signature sound without tripping the artist-name filter.
History
Italo house fused house music with Italo disco in late-1980s Italy. It came up in the Adriatic seaside resorts of Rimini and Riccione and spread through Mediterranean discos before reaching Britain, where people often called it simply Italian. Its mark is the piano: electronic piano chords and riffs played more lyrically than on classic Chicago house, soft, inviting melodies, a faster tempo and borrowed disco voices. Black Box's "Ride on Time" is the textbook case, built on Loleatta Holloway's vocal from "Love Sensation"; in September 1989 it went to number one in the UK and stayed there six weeks. By the end of that summer it was the most popular sound at the biggest British raves. Before the name existed, Klein + M.B.O. and Alexander der Robotnick were already making it, and in the early 1990s the production stable of Gianfranco Bortolotti, behind Cappella and R.A.F., defined its happy, euphoric side. Italian records ran the UK dance charts of 1990 and 1991 with DJ H's "Think About" and Jinny's "Keep Warm". Ulf Poschardt called it good-humoured music meant to please and pull people onto the floor. K-Klass, Bassheads and Felix built the piano sound into British hits of their own.
