Synth indie electronic from the 2010s: analog synth, clean guitars, drum machine, dreamy and euphoric in feel. A name-free Suno recipe that reproduces the signature sound without tripping the artist-name filter.

History

Indie electronic, also known as indietronica, joins indie rock to the elements of electronic music. It took shape in the early 1990s with bands such as Stereolab and Disco Inferno. As digital technology developed in the 2000s, a new wave arrived from several countries at once: Broadcast from Britain, Justice from France, Lali Puna from Germany, The Postal Service and Ratatat from the United States, and Shout Out Out Out Out from Canada, each fusing its own kind of indie sound with electronics. In Britain, when Angular Recording Corporation promoted Klaxons, their blend of indie and dance-punk was branded new rave, and the name stuck. NME went on to apply it to Trash Fashion, New Young Pony Club, Hadouken!, Late of the Pier, Test Icicles and Shitdisco. Between them these bands formed a scene whose aesthetics echoed the rave scene that had come before it.
