Style recipe for Suno v5
Early Hardcore
Early rave hardcore from the 1990s: hoover stab, distorted kick, rave stabs, raw and nostalgic in feel. A name-free Suno recipe that reproduces the signature sound without tripping the artist-name filter.
History
Early hardcore came out of Rotterdam and Amsterdam at the start of the 1990s, built by pushing house and techno to extremes. The kick drum was distorted into a blunt, heavy thud, the tempo ran anywhere from 140 to 190 BPM, and over it went roared vocals, film samples, house-style breakbeats and hi-hat fills. One of its most recognisable elements first turned up on T99's "Anasthasia" in 1991. The scene ran through Paul Elstak's Rotterdam Records, Mokum Records in Amsterdam and Lenny Dee's New York label Industrial Strength, with Marc Acardipane, The Prophet and Rotterdam Termination Source among the early names. Gabber is Amsterdam slang for "mate", from Hebrew via Yiddish. When an Amsterdam DJ waved off the Rotterdam crowd as a bunch of gabbers having fun, Elstak etched "Gabber zijn is geen schande!" ("It's not a disgrace to be a gabber!") into the vinyl of the first Euromasters record in 1992. Elstak and DJ Rob started their parties at Parkzicht in Rotterdam before moving to the Energiehal, and ID&T's Thunderdome parties later drew up to 40,000 people. In 1997 Billboard magazine called gabber the Netherlands' first homegrown youth culture, and the sound came back hard in the late 2010s.
