Wiley
2000s ice-cold eskibeat grime from the 2000s: hollow square bass, glacial bell motif, eight-bit clave, menacing and hypnotic in feel. A name-free Suno recipe that reproduces the signature sound without tripping the artist-name filter.

History
Wiley is the producer and MC most often credited with giving grime its shape. Working out of Bow in east London at the start of the 2000s, he moved from UK garage into something colder and more angular, building instrumentals around hollow synth stabs, sparse percussion and huge empty space where a garage track would have put swing. Eskimo is the reference point for that shift, one of a run of icy, almost tuneless beats that gave the sound its early identity and its name in the scene. He founded Roll Deep, put out endless white labels and mixtapes, and pushed records out faster than any release schedule could absorb. Wearing My Rolex took the same voice into a dance context and became a UK top-three single in 2008, and Heatwave went further into pop a few years later without changing his flat, restless delivery. What a listener recognises is that voice, half spoken and always slightly ahead of the beat, over production built from gaps rather than layers.
