Lyrics analyzer: syllable counter and rhyme scheme checker

Paste a song and see, line by line, which lines rhyme, how many syllables each one carries, how much of Suno's Lyrics field the text uses and roughly how long the track will run.

The analysis runs in your browser. The text is never sent anywhere.

Only for the estimate, 40 to 220. Do not type a BPM into Suno: it ignores the number.

Paste lyrics to see the rhyme scheme, syllables per line and how much of the Lyrics field they use.

What the rhyme scheme tells you

Letters mark lines that end on the same sound. ABAB in a verse and AABB in a chorus are the classic shapes; ABCB is the folk shape, where only the second and fourth lines rhyme. Letters restart in every section, because a listener hears a chorus as its own unit. A ≈ next to a letter means the rhyme is near: the same vowel with a different ending. A verse that reads ABCD has no rhyme at all. Some songs do that on purpose; more often it happens by accident.

Why syllables per line matter to Suno

Suno tends to sing matching lines in two verses to the same melody. When one line has six syllables and its partner has eleven, the model has to cram words together or stretch a vowel to fit, and that is where you hear rushed phrasing. Keep lines that share a melody within two or three syllables of each other. It is the cheapest fix there is: no new generation, just a word cut or added.

The tags it checks

Suno knows a limited list of section names: Verse, Chorus, Bridge, Outro and a couple of dozen more. A label outside that list, like [Guitar Solo] or [Verse 3], can make it start a new take and glue two different songs into one file. The analyzer lists such tags and shows the safe form, [Solo | electric guitar], with the detail moved after the pipe. It also catches directions written without brackets, which Suno would sing as lyrics.

How the length is estimated

Each sung line counts as two bars of 4/4 at the tempo you set. An instrumental section counts as eight bars unless its tag gives a number: write [Intro | 16 bars] and the estimate uses sixteen. Treat the result as a guide for planning structure, not a promise: Suno decides the final length itself.

Questions

Is my text saved anywhere?

Only in this browser tab, so a reload does not wipe it. Nothing is sent anywhere, and closing the tab clears it.

What is the Suno lyrics character limit?

5,000 characters in the Lyrics field in Custom mode on the current models (v4.5 and later), tags included. The Style field takes 1,000 characters.

Does it work for Russian lyrics?

Yes. The language is detected automatically, and Russian rhymes are matched by stress and pronunciation, so рука and река land on the same letter.

Why does it count syllables differently from me?

English counts come from a pronouncing dictionary, so a word like fire counts as two. Singers squeeze and stretch words all the time, so use the numbers to compare lines with each other, not as a rule.
