Style recipe for Suno v5
J-rock
J-rock anime opening from the 1990s: thick humbucker crunch, talk box hook, wah bend leads, swaggering and anthemic in feel. A name-free Suno recipe that reproduces the signature sound without tripping the artist-name filter.
History
Japanese rock began with the Group Sounds boom of the 1960s, when bands such as the Tigers, the Tempters and the Spiders took their cue from the Beatles, the Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan and sang almost entirely in English. The folk rock band Happy End changed that: their 1970 debut, released on the URC label, made them the first rock band credited with singing in Japanese, and it set off the Japanese-language Rock Controversy, a public debate with Yuya Uchida over whether such music could last. Uchida had formed his own band after seeing Jimi Hendrix in Europe, and his Flower Travellin' Band covered Black Sabbath and King Crimson before recording Satori (1971), now seen as a progenitor of heavy metal. Bow Wow supported Aerosmith and Kiss on their 1977 Japanese tours, and in 1985 Loudness became the first Japanese metal act signed to a major American label. The late 1980s belonged to Boøwy, The Blue Hearts, X Japan and B'z; B'z and Mr. Children remain among the best-selling acts in Japan, and the Fuji Rock Festival, launched in the late 1990s, peaked at 200,000 people.
