Style recipe for Suno v5
Film score
Symphonic film score from the 1970s: twanging tremolo guitar, wordless soprano wail, solo ocarina line, theatrical and menacing in feel. A name-free Suno recipe that reproduces the signature sound without tripping the artist-name filter.
History
A film score is music written for one film and cut to its timing: a set of cues for orchestra, soloists or choir, each starting and stopping at a set moment. As early as 1908 Camille Saint-Saëns wrote music specifically for the film The Assassination of the Duke of Guise. The composer usually arrives near the end of shooting, watches a rough cut with the director and marks where music goes, a session called spotting, then syncs the cues to picture to within three or four frames. Sometimes the order flips. Sergio Leone edited the finale of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly to music Ennio Morricone had finished months before shooting ended, and Steven Spielberg re-cut the end of E.T. to fit a cue John Williams recorded without pictures. For Inception in 2010, Christopher Nolan asked Hans Zimmer to write from his impressions of the script rather than to the cut. Electronics have crept into scores since the 1950s, and many today are hybrids or built by one composer with samplers and software. Songs usually sit outside the score, with exceptions like James Horner's "My Heart Will Go On", written from his Titanic themes for Celine Dion.
