Style recipe for Suno v5
Brit Rock
Heavy brit rock from the 2000s: distorted guitars, driving bass, big drums, anthemic and defiant in feel. A name-free Suno recipe that reproduces the signature sound without tripping the artist-name filter.
History
British rock began as an imitation and turned into an export. In the mid-1950s American rock and roll reached Britain through films, and "Rock Around the Clock" by Bill Haley & His Comets entered the British charts four months before it reached the American ones. The home-grown answer came through skiffle, the craze led by Lonnie Donegan, whose rough takes on American folk songs got a generation playing. In 1958 Cliff Richard reached number 2 with "Move It", counted as Britain's first authentic rock and roll record, backed by the band soon renamed The Shadows. By the early 1960s Liverpool alone had around 350 groups, and the beat boom set the model line-up for pop and rock: lead guitar, rhythm guitar, bass and drums. On 4 April 1964 The Beatles held the top five places of the Billboard Hot 100, a feat no other act has repeated. Alongside them a blues boom recreated the music of Muddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf around the electric guitar and produced The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton and Led Zeppelin, who grew out of The Yardbirds. From there British bands started or reshaped progressive rock, hard rock, heavy metal, punk, new wave and indie rock.
