Zedd
Progressive house from the 2010s: rolling arpeggiated synths, sidechained bass, four-on-the-floor kick, hypnotic and euphoric in feel. A name-free Suno recipe that reproduces the signature sound without tripping the artist-name filter.
Style: Progressive house
History
Zedd is the stage name of Anton Zaslavski, a German record producer, DJ, and classically trained musician born September 2, 1989, in Saratov, in the former Soviet Union, and raised from age three in Kaiserslautern, Germany. Before turning to electronic music, he played drums for the German metalcore band Dioramic, co-founded by his older brother. He began producing dance tracks in 2009, and after early Beatport contest wins and remixes for Skrillex and Lady Gaga, signed with Interscope Records. His 2012 debut album "Clarity" and its title single, featuring Foxes, became a defining electro house anthem, reaching the Billboard Hot 100 top ten and winning Best Dance Recording at the 2014 Grammy Awards. He went on to co-produce Justin Bieber's "Beauty and a Beat" and tracks on Lady Gaga's "Artpop," then scored further hits with "I Want You to Know" (Selena Gomez), "Stay" (Alessia Cara), and "The Middle" (Maren Morris), plus Ariana Grande's "Break Free." One notable bit of trivia: songwriter Matthew Koma later publicly accused Zedd of downplaying his contributions to "Clarity," a dispute Zedd addressed in an open public statement.
