History
Zara Larsson (born Zara Maria Larsson, 16 December 1997, in Solna, Sweden) is a Swedish pop and dance singer-songwriter known for glossy house- and R&B-inflected pop. She first became known nationally at age 10, winning the 2008 season of the Swedish TV talent show Talang. Signing with Ten Music Group in 2012, she broke through with the EP Introducing and the six-times-platinum single "Uncover," followed by her debut album 1 (2014). A deal with Epic Records brought international reach: So Good (2017) topped Sweden's chart, and its single "Lush Life" became one of the decade's best-selling songs in the UK; she also featured on Clean Bandit's UK number-one "Symphony." Later albums Poster Girl (2021) and Venus (2024, released on her own label Sommer House) kept her in the charts, and her 2025 album Midnight Sun earned a Grammy nomination for Best Dance Pop Recording. In Sweden she has scored five number-one singles and three number-one albums, alongside two American Music Awards and four Grammis wins.
