History
Yeri Mua came to reggaeton mexa from the other side of the screen: before she sang, she was one of the most watched Spanish-language streamers on Facebook. Born in Veracruz, she opened her Instagram at sixteen and built a following in 2018 with livestreams and makeup tutorials, later spreading to TikTok with dance trends and get-ready-with-me videos. She hosted MTV programmes and launched a cosmetics line before turning to music. Her first single, "Chupón", came out in August 2023 and drew huge view counts on YouTube, and "Con to'" followed that October. In November 2023 she made her stage debut at the Flow Fest in Mexico City, singing to a festival crowd for the first time. In 2024 she signed with Sony Music México, and the album De chava arrived in 2025. Her songs follow the scene's formula closely: playful, openly flirtatious lyrics, chanted hooks and simple perreo beats. What sets her apart is the audience, a huge online fan base that followed her from beauty streams straight onto the dancefloor.
